A Smile

The Storm...

They were together in the house.
Just the two of them. It was a cold, dark, stormy night.
The storm had come quickly and
each time
the thunder boomed he watched her jump..
She looked across the room and admired his
strong appearance...and wished that he would
take her in his arms, comfort her and protect
her from the storm.
Suddenly, with a pop, the power went out...
She screamed...
He raced to the sofa where she was cowering.
He didn't hesitate to pull her into his arms.
He knew this was a forbidden union and
expected her to pull back.
He was surprised when she didn't
resist but instead clung to him.
The storm raged on....
They knew it was wrong...
Their families would never understand...
So consumed were they in their FEAR
that they heard no opening of doors...
just the faint click of a camera......

Ha!! That's the cutest picture :) Dozer gets grumpy with me when I tease him about snuggling with the cats...he'll jump up and walk away, lol.

Poor Dozerella. Thanks to you and Dave, I don't need to worry about my basement flooding. The pump is going off about every 15 minutes and we still have not a drop of water on the floor!!!!

That's awesome! Wow, every 15 minutes, eh? That's a lot of water! Well, hopefully we won't have to worry about our wells running dry this summer while watering the gardens :)

Yay!!! No water. I'm glad that worked for you!!

What a wonderful picture! My older dog, Boomers, will have nothing to do with the cats - if a soft 'woof' won't discourage a cat lying down next to him, he will get up and move.

Freebe is very leery of those claws and will only allow a cat curling up next to him away from his face - and this is only on cold nights.

Sorry to hear that you all are having so many problems with the melting snow in your basements. Hopefully, those pumps will guard you well.
