Wow, you got some wonderful shots! I was having all sorts of trouble trying to catch the brilliance of the ice in today's sunlight, you really caught some great images.

I couldn't believe how beautiful it was today driving beneath all those dazzling prisms of ice, it was amazing.

Good to see you have power back :)

Good Morning! I love all the pictures that you put up - I feel as if I am back watching an ice storm from so many years ago.

It occured to me that there is a lot of similarity between a southern hurricane and a northern ice storm. The wind, the loss of electricity, the destruction, everyone's life interrupted. The big difference is the cold temps that you have to deal with if the power goes out - here, the temps are usually on the other end of the scale. And the other difference is the incredible beauty that you are "treated" to after an ice storm - hurricanes don't have anything like the magic scenes of ice over everything ....

Great photos, Maureen! You really caught some images that are historic. I've only been through 2 or 3 ice storms on LI, but the blue sky and blinding glitter the morning after is truly memorable, a rare visual treat.
