Storm of the Century...NOT!!!

Almost all of our snow had evaporated back into the atmosphere, so when the storm warnings started coming in last Friday I got very excited. The prospect of having another dreary, rainy end of winter was giving me the blues and I started thinking of all the winter stuff I hadn't done yet this year, ie. making a snowman, crosscountry skiing, snowshoeing and the like. As my excitement built, so much so that on Sunday night, I didn't get to sleep til about 11:00 pm (EXTREMELY late for me). What finally let a little air out of my bubble was the 10:30 weather report that down graded the storm from 8-16 inches to 4-8 inches. I finally toddled off to bed, still looking forward to Monday. The following are the Sunday afternoon back yard and Monday 7 am back yard. So, enough snow to have some fun, but not nearly enough to immobilize the state. Oh well.
